You came to us at a very interesting time for our firm. You may have come looking for Ryan Edwards Communications or Social Lab, but you’re ending up with JAW Advertising. There’s a story behind that.
Here’s the short version: David Jones started Social Lab in 2014. One of his clients was an ad agency called Ryan Edwards. They worked together for a few years with David adding digital and social capabilities for Ryan Edwards clients. In January 2016, the founder of Ryan Edwards decided to retire and left the business in the capable hands of David Jones and Doug Walker. Since neither of them were named Ryan or Edwards and social was rapidly becoming a part of an integrated offering, they figured a cool new name was required to capture the kind of work the firm was doing. JAW Advertising was born! So for now, we’re a little bit Social Lab, a little bit Ryan Edwards and a whole lot of JAW Advertising, even though it’s really all one firm. Enough about our origin story, you want to know about us and what we’ve done that makes us the right partner for you.
Ontario Real Estate Association
Realtor Value
As housing prices rise throughout Ontario, so have the dollar amounts paid to Realtors as these homes change hands. So it is no surprise that home buyers and sellers may question whether using a Realtor makes sense when buying our selling their home. Our task was to show the value that Realtors bring to the home buying and selling experience.

Since Ryerson’s Continuing Education school was rebranded as The Chang School in 2007 we’ve worked to keep this unique institution top-of-mind among adult learners at a time when there is more and more competition from other post-secondary institutions and alternate learning options delivered online. Our job is to inspire busy working adults to see their career story as having many more chapters and that The Chang School has the quality of courses, instructors and fellow students to help them achieve their goals.

Launched in fall 2014, Magnet is an innovative social networking site that links employers to qualified student job seekers using technology incubated at Ryerson University’s DMZ (Digital Media Zone). It’s primary goal is to address unemployment and underemployment, specifically as it relates to youth and new immigrants. We were brought on pre-launch as their creative partner to help devise a launch strategy that made Magnet stand out among its youth target audience by connecting with them through social content that stood out in their feeds.
